Chalmers Finite Element Center
Chalmers Finite Element Center was an interdisciplinary unit at
Chalmers University of Technology in the field of computational
mathematical modeling and scientific-industrial computing. The Center
was built on the long tradition at Chalmers of research on the finite
element methodology both in mathematics and in the engineering
departments.
The Center operated 1997-2005 with funding from the Swedish
Foundation for Strategic Research SSF and the Chalmers Foundation. It
was hosted by the department of mathematical sciences and involved
scientists from mathematics, mechanical engineering and electrical
engineering.
